This policy explains how your personal data is processed when you use the Vevez mobile app, the web menu (QR menu), Vevez websites and business tools. It has been prepared within the framework of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR) and the rules of the countries in which we provide services. For countries whose legislation requires additional information, that information is in section 14.

The business you order from or make a reservation with is a separate data controller for the order and reservation information passed to it. Terms of Use

Vevez terms of use for guests and businesses · Last updated: 29 October 2026

In brief

  • Vevez is a technology platform that shows businesses' menus in your language and passes your order to the business.
  • Food and drink are sold by the business. The business is responsible for the product itself, its price and its allergen information.
  • Online payments are collected by licensed payment institutions; Vevez does not see your card details.
  • Reviews are based only on real orders. You can report illegal or misleading content to us.
  • These terms do not restrict the consumer rights that the law gives you.

1. Parties and scope

These terms govern your use of the Vevez mobile app, the web menu (QR menu), Vevez websites and business tools ("Vevez" or the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by VEVEZ UK LIMITED, company no. 16278245, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Vevez", "we"). In business agreements with businesses in Türkiye, the contracting party is Türkeli Arge Teknoloji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Vevez's licensed business partner in Türkiye.

By using the Platform, or by confirming your acceptance when you open an account, you accept these terms. How your personal data is processed is not part of these terms; it is explained separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

  • Guest: a person who views a menu, places an order, makes a reservation or writes a review on the Platform.
  • Business: a restaurant, café, hotel, beach venue or similar food and drink business that offers its menu on the Platform.
  • Order: a request for products that a guest sends to a business through the Platform, including table, collection, takeaway and other order types.

3. The role of Vevez

Vevez is an intermediary technology service that brings guests and businesses together. When you place an order, the sale of the products is concluded between you and the business; the seller is the business. Vevez does not prepare, sell or transport products, and does not make sales in the name or on the account of the business. It does not collect payments on behalf of the business; online payments are collected by licensed payment institutions.

4. Your account

  • You may not need an account to view the menu and order from your table. For features that require an account (past orders, points, reservations, messaging), you need to open an account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to open an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date and for keeping your password confidential. If you think your account has been used without your permission, write to info@vevez.com immediately.
  • Your account is personal; it may not be transferred to anyone else or used by anyone else.
  • You can delete your account in the app at any time: Profile > Edit profile > Delete account.

5. Menus, prices, allergens and translations

  • The business sets and updates the products, descriptions, prices, taxes, service charges and allergen information on the menu. Vevez does not guarantee their accuracy; if we notice an obvious error, we will notify the business.
  • Menus and messages may be translated into your language automatically. Translations are provided for your convenience and may not always be perfect. If there is a difference in meaning, the text in the business's own language prevails.
  • Amounts shown in other currencies are for information only. Payment is made in the business's currency.
  • Product photos are for illustration only; the product the business prepares may look different.
  • If you have an allergy or a special dietary need, always consult the business's staff before ordering. Allergen information is provided by the business.

6. Orders

  • Your order is passed to the business as soon as you send it. The business may accept the order or reject it for reasons such as stock, opening hours or an incorrect price. You can see the status of your order in the app or in the web menu.
  • Changing or cancelling an order that the business has started to prepare is subject to the business's approval; you can message the business in the app.
  • Preparation and delivery times are the business's estimates.
  • Age-restricted products: Products such as alcoholic drinks are subject to the legal age limit and the sales rules of the country where the business is located. The business may ask for ID and may refuse to make the sale.
  • For takeaway or delivery orders, delivery is carried out by the business or by a courier company that the business has an agreement with.

7. Payment

  • The business decides the payment methods: online payment, payment by card or in cash at the table, and other methods that the business accepts.
  • For online payments, you enter your card details on the licensed payment institution's secure payment page. This institution collects the payment and transfers it to the business; the payment institution's own terms also apply. Vevez does not see or store your card number or security code.
  • The receipt or invoice is issued by the business as the seller.
  • Tips are optional and go to the business.
  • Guests do not pay Vevez any separate fee. Vevez's service fee is paid by the business.

8. Right of withdrawal, cancellation and refunds

  • For food and drink prepared for immediate consumption, there is no right of withdrawal, under the exception provided by law.
  • If a product is missing, incorrect or does not have the expected qualities, contact the business first. Any refund that the business considers appropriate is made to the payment method you used. The time it takes your bank to credit the refund to your account may vary depending on the payment institution.
  • If you cannot resolve a problem with the business, write to info@vevez.com; we will help you contact the business.
  • The consumer rights that the law gives you are reserved.

9. Reservations and points

  • Your reservation request is passed to the business; the business confirms the reservation. The business's reservation and cancellation rules apply.
  • Points are the business's own loyalty programme; the business decides how they are earned and used. Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred and can be used only at the business concerned.

10. Reviews, messages and content rules

  • You can write a review of a business only on the basis of an order you placed at that business. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Reviews for which money, a discount or any other benefit has been received, and reviews written on behalf of someone else, are prohibited.
  • We publish reviews together with their rating and date, without distinguishing between positive and negative reviews. Businesses cannot delete or change reviews; they can reply to them.
  • Content you share (reviews, photos, messages, nicknames) must not be unlawful, insulting, discriminatory or threatening, must not infringe the rights of others, must not be for advertising purposes and must not disclose personal data.
  • So that we can show your reviews and photos on the Platform, you grant us a free, worldwide licence to use them, valid for as long as the content remains published. You keep the rights to your content.
  • Reporting content: If you see content that is illegal or breaks these rules, report it to info@vevez.com, stating where the content is and why you are reporting it. We review reports carefully and without delay; if we remove content or restrict an account, we tell the owner of the content the reason. You can challenge this decision at info@vevez.com.

11. Unacceptable use

It is prohibited to use the Platform for unlawful purposes; to create fake orders, fake reservations or fake reviews; to use another person's account or payment instrument without permission; or to attempt to circumvent the Platform's security, reverse-engineer its source code, collect data by automated means or disrupt the service.

12. Intellectual property

VEVEZ is a registered trade mark of Bülent Türkeli and is used under licence. The rights in the Platform's software, design and content belong to their respective rights holders. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use the Platform for personal purposes in accordance with these terms. Businesses' menu content and photos belong to the businesses.

13. Continuity of the service

We work to provide the Platform without interruption or errors; however, the service may be temporarily disrupted because of maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control (internet and power outages, natural disasters, epidemics, decisions of official authorities). We announce planned maintenance in advance where possible. We may develop or change the Platform's features.

14. Liability

  • The business is responsible for the products it sells, their preparation, their hygiene, their allergen information and their delivery.
  • Vevez is responsible for providing the Platform with due care. We are liable for damage arising from Vevez's fault to the extent provided by law.
  • Our liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury is not limited in any way. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights that the consumer legislation of the country where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

15. Suspension and closure of accounts

If you breach these terms seriously or repeatedly, if fake transactions or fraud are suspected, or if a legal requirement arises, we may suspend or close your account. When we do so, we will tell you the reason; you can challenge our decision at info@vevez.com.

16. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms when our service or the legislation changes. We will notify you of changes that affect your rights, in the app or by e-mail, at least 15 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you can delete your account.

17. Assignment

Vevez may transfer its rights and obligations under these terms to a Vevez group company or to a company that takes over the Vevez service, provided that this does not reduce your rights. We will notify you of any such transfer.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, the consumer protection rules of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by contract also apply, and you can bring proceedings before the courts where you live. Consumers living in Türkiye can apply to consumer arbitration committees within the applicable monetary limits, and to consumer courts for disputes exceeding those limits. Business agreements with businesses in Türkiye are governed by Turkish law.

19. Contact us

For your questions, complaints and content reports: info@vevez.com. Official authorities can also contact us at the same address.

20. Additional terms for businesses

This section applies to businesses that use Vevez for their own menu and orders. Commercial terms such as the service fee, payment and invoicing are set out in the Business Agreement signed separately with the business; if the Business Agreement conflicts with this section, the Business Agreement prevails.

  • Accuracy of the menu and information: The business is responsible for ensuring that its products, prices, taxes, service charges, opening hours and allergen information are accurate, up to date and compliant with the relevant legislation. It checks any descriptions, content or images that Vevez suggests using artificial intelligence before publishing them.
  • Sales and legal obligations: The seller is the business. The obligations arising from issuing receipts and invoices, tax, food safety, alcohol sales rules and consumer legislation rest with the business.
  • Personal data: The business is the data controller for the order, reservation and message information passed to it and for its own customer list. When Vevez's till, order management, customer list and similar tools are used, Vevez processes this data on behalf of the business; the details are set out in the data processing annex to the Business Agreement. The business uses guest data only to fulfil orders and reservations and to meet its legal obligations.
  • Staff accounts and devices: The business is responsible for the accounts and roles it gives its staff, and for the security of its kiosk, till and printer devices.

Cookie Policy

Cookies used on the websites and in the web menu · Last updated: 29 October 2026

In brief

  • We use the cookies and browser storage needed for the site and the web menu to work.
  • On our website, and only if you consent, we use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time.
  • We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on Vevez websites (www.vevez.com), in the web menu (QR menu) and in the business panel.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a site you visit saves in your browser. Sites can also use the browser's local storage (localStorage) for the same purpose. In this policy we call both "cookies".

2. Which cookies do we use?

TypeWhat is it for?Where?Duration
Strictly necessary: session and securityKeeps you signed in to the web menu and the business panel, and verifies that requests come from youWeb menu, business panelFor the session, or until you sign out

Advertising and marketingWe do not use these.

Strictly necessary cookies are needed for us to provide the service you request and do not require consent. Our legal basis for them is the performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the service (Turkish Law No. 6698 Art. 5(2)(c) and (f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

We use analytics cookies only with your explicit consent (Turkish Law No. 6698 Art. 5(1); GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and electronic communications law). If you do not consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

3. Third-party services

  • Payment pages: When you make an online payment, the page that opens belongs to the payment institution. This institution may use its own cookies for security and fraud prevention; these are subject to the payment institution's own policy.
  • Google Analytics: If you consent, our website loads Google Analytics. In this service Google acts as a data processor on our behalf (Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the EU and the United Kingdom, Google LLC for others). We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation; Google Analytics does not store your IP address. Visit statistics are kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months. Data may be transferred to the USA; this transfer relies on the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Fonts: Our pages may load fonts from Google Fonts. When this happens, Google sees your browser's IP address; Google Fonts does not set cookies.

4. Mobile app

The app does not use cookies. It stores your session and preferences on your device; a notification token is assigned to your device for order notifications. No tracking for advertising purposes takes place in the app.

5. How do you give and withdraw consent?

When you first visit our website, a preferences panel opens. In the panel, "Accept" and "Reject" are equally visible; under "Settings" you can choose cookie types one by one. Not giving consent does not prevent you from using the site. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your analytics consent, Google Analytics stops collecting data and we delete its cookies from your browser. We remember your choice for 13 months and then ask again. We do not use analytics cookies in the web menu or the business panel; if we do, we will first ask for your consent in the same way.

6. How can you manage cookies?

In your browser settings, you can view, delete or block cookies and site data. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the web menu and the business panel may not work properly, and you may need to set preferences such as your language choice again on every visit.

7. Contact

For questions about cookies, you can write to info@vevez.com. For your rights, see the Privacy Policy.
